Jeff Avey

My husband is an all around outdoorsman.  He rode bucking broncs in rodeos for several years.  He loves to deer hunt, coon hunt, turkey hunt, trap, and fish.  He also enjoys trail riding.

He has been coon hunting since he was 11 years old.  When you have questions about our dogs as far as hunting, he is the one who will be giving you answers. 

Jeff has hunted with other breeds of coonhound, but the Bluetick is his choice for an all-round good hunter and tree dog.  It was his dream to raise his own Bluetick stock and bring him to UKC Nite Champion.  He has done that with Rattler, plus he has winnings toward UKC Grand Nite Champion, UKC Water Champion, and he is a PKC Champion as well.

Rattler has sired pups that have gone on to become UKC Show Champions.  All of Rattler's pups that have been worked with by their owners have gone on to become very good hunting dogs.

I enjoy being outdoors as well.  Along with my many indoor hobbies, I also hunt and fish.  I deer hunt every year, and occasionally go along with Jeff on short coon hunts.

Jeff and I have five children between us and we have spent a long time raising kids and trying to be good parents.  Our kids are almost all out of the home now.  The ones who are home also help out with the dogs.  They really help out in the area of making sure our puppies are well socialized!

I have loved animals all my life, so I really enjoy spending time with our dogs.  I love every one of them and it is hard to see them go when they sell, but it helps that I am sure they are going to good homes.

Along with hunting and our dogs, I also enjoy many other hobbies.  I have been involved in genealogy for several years now, researching our family trees.  I also read, cross stitch, crochet, knit, and do machine embroidery.

My newest hobby is web design.  I am very new at this, so please bear with me as I develop our site.  Most photography on this site is done by me, as well as any videos that I am able to make available to potential customers.
